This dedicated socket is built to engage all 4 of the holes on a SRAM dub crank arm dust cap. These caps don't normally need to be removed but when you do need to work with them, few things work well. These tools feature a common 3/8" square drive like the rest of our socket range and also have a hexagonal exterior so you can mount them in a vise and use the crank arm as the lever if so desired. The sockets are also marked for the left hand thread (clockwise to loosen) this part uses.
Compatible with all SRAM dub cranks, road/mountain/gravel.

This set of tools allows accurate and repeatable measurements for saddle height, angle and setback. The accuracy and repeatable measurements also serve as a base to make adjustments to fit.
The magnetic saddle height bullets (8mm and 10mm sizes) ensure you get an accurate center at the bottom bracket by locating in the crank arm fixing bolt or the crank arm preload cap of Shimano caps. This allows you to focus on the smart end of the tape measure at the saddle plate.
Two reference marks on the saddle plate means you can pull a measurement to the exact same spot relative to the nose of the saddle every time. This gives you accuracy down to a single millimeter, enough to satisfy the most particular or injury prone athlete.
The front of the saddle plate is engraved with a ruler (metric of course) to allow you to calculate saddle setback at the saddle. This allows you to drop the plumb bob off the side of the bike and clear all of the bottle cages.
The wide plate has ample room to mount a level, protractor or smart phone for adjusting the angle of the saddle. This is particularly helpful for non traditional saddles like SMP and Adamo. This kit is ideal for cyclists that travel and regularly have to re-assemble their bike, bike fitters and mechanics in the workshop and in the field.
The complete kit includes the saddle plate, Shimano preload crank tool, two saddle height bullets (8mm and 10mm). The Shimano preload crank tool and saddle height bullets can be purchased separately.

The HAG is the last hanger tool you'll ever have to buy.
WHY YOU NEED ONE
The derailleur hanger is the foundation for the modern drive train to work properly. With modern bikes getting as many as 13 cogs in the space that we use to put 8 it's never been more important to make sure the hanger is perfectly straight. Sadly many of the current tools just aren't capable of achieving this kind of precision.
WHAT MAKES THE HAG THE BEST
We went through extra steps to make this tool half precision measuring instrument and half pry bar.
- Tolerances as tight as a quarter of a thousandth of an inch (.0063mm) in some critical dimensions of this tool.
- Ability to lock in the feeler so you don't have to second guess your measurement after bumping it on the tire. T
- Top half of tool will rotate out of the way of fender stays and frame tubes.
- Feeler gauge stick stores inside the top half of the tool, very handy for the traveling mechanic.
- T bolt extends past the tool for access to those problematic hangers found on some modern full suspension bikes.
- Re-buildable. While ideally your HAG should be sent back for a rebuild, it is possible to do them in the field by replacing the brass bushing in the T-Bolt.

The Harbor gauge, a gorgeous gem of a dishing instrument. These dishing gauges are fully machined from big billets of aluminum to a final shape and accuracy that's as nice to use as it is to look at. Compatible with wheels from 20-29 inches and all hub combinations. Stand off feet are included for checking dish with the tire in place, even the big fat ones. The gauge uses a unique spring loaded mechanism to drop the plunger. Press that little brass button on the front and the plunger will drop to the face of the hub. No archaic time sucking threaded indicators here!
Perhaps the best thing about the Harbor Gauge is the story behind it. The tool started as a computer model like most of our tools but that's as far as it went for a couple of years, until one fateful email from the other side of the world. Tracy Rome contacted us to inquire about a surprise birthday present for her husband Dave's upcoming 30th birthday. Apparently she forgot it the year before and wanted to make the pending day something to remember. So after some secret spy photos of Dave's existing tool collection we pitched her what would become known as the Harbor Gauge. We built that first prototype and commissioned a custom walnut case for it and shipped it to Sydney where the Rome's live. It was one special morning to get a bespoke tool from your favorite bike tool company. At the time it was one of a kind and is a standout favorite in a rather extensive tool collection. Dave said the tool resembles the famed Harbor Bridge in Sydney and that's where the name comes from.

The lever setter is a unique tool that works in conjunction with our HAG to set brake and shifter levers at the same height from side to side. The tool temporarily replaces the headset top cap and allows you to thread a hanger alignment tool into the lever setter. Then you can use the HAG indicator to set levers the same from one side of the bar to the other. It's a great little fitting tool to eliminate variables in your bike fit. It's also great to balance the variations in bends that metal bars sometimes have from one side to the other. Once you're satisfied with your lever placement simply remove the tool and replace your headset top cap and go ride.
Recommendations:
It's advised to use a spacer on top of the stem to help align the lever setter with the steer tube. This will reduce the impact the quality of the cut on the steer tube has on the function of the tool. The supplied threaded stud can be replaced with a longer one if needed.
H.A.G. sold separately.

Chain wear has become a little more complicated ever since 1x drivetrains have gained popularity. These drivetrains are designed to cross chain, something most of us were taught to avoid when we started riding bikes as a serious endeavor. Add to that the variables that flat top chains have brought into the market with their larger rollers and things got pretty messy. Problem is, everyone is ignoring these small but significant issues.
What are the issues with measuring chain wear? Well there's a couple of them, the biggest is the diameter difference of SRAM's flat top chains found on most of their modern drivetrains. The rollers on these chains are .010" (.254mm). Now that doesn't sound like a lot but when you do the math to convert that to a percentage of wear over 5 links that's a .2% difference. When we're replacing chains between .5-.7% of wear that .2% can easily be the difference between replacing just a chain and and entire drivetrain. But wait, there's MORE! Most chain wear tools currently on the market are laser cut metal. This is a pretty cool process that's great for making sheet metal parts, problem is the accuracy of this process isn't great at +/-.010" (.254mm). If you add the error of the tool itself to the roller variable it's possible to double the error of the tool.
The Abbey Chain Wear Plate is our latest application of precision to cycling tools. We set out to not only build a tool that handled the variance of roller diameter when measuring chain wear but also measure lateral wear, something nobody's bothered to do, until now. Linear wear or stretch as it's commonly called is measured by locating both sides of the roller in a V shaped notch which allows us to locate the center of the roller accurately regardless of it's size. Then you line up the pin on with one of 5 holes on the opposite end. This also prevents roller wear from influencing the measurement. It's as simple as that.
To measure lateral wear, the chain will need to be off the bike. Then simply pinch the chain against the boss and hold it vertical and see how far it sags. Anything below a 6 isn’t shifting well and a new chain will improve shifting quality.
The other big thing we tackled with this tool is the accuracy of the tool itself. Most chain wear tools on the market are cut with a laser, which is a nice process that we use for parts like our Fit Kit and Stu Stick. However it's not all that accurate with the repeatability of these machines can be around +/-.010. That just isn't good enough for tools of this nature to be frank. We instead made the decision to CNC our tool from a billet to give it the durability and accuracy this tool deserves. Since we actually make these in house we also had complete control over the process and are able to hold tolerances as tight as .0002"(.005mm). Admittedly, that might be a bit overkill for the application but it's not really that difficult to do, if you actually care.

The Micro Modular Bearing Press is designed with smaller hub and suspension bearings in mind. With drifts to service bearings with an inside diameter of 13 millimeters and smaller this is a great choice for those smaller more delicate bearings.
The press head features a true thrust bearing, this unique feature keeps the press action super smooth and cuts down on the effort required. The thrust bearing isolates all of the torque from the compression which allows your bearing to go in square. It works so well that you don't need even need handles.
The press head has a 6mm hex in the top of the press head so you can use it as a bail out gear in case you find something that is fitting excessively tight.

This press is the backbone of any modern shop. Bearing related work is becoming more and more common on modern bikes and no shop, professional or amateur should pass over these tools. The Modular bearing press starts with the press head. Where most manufactures just have a glorified nut we went further by adding a massive thrust bearing. Not a wimpy little plastic washer either, an actual bearing with balls and races. What this means is that the pressing action is almost completely isolated from the torque, creating a super smooth pressing action that requires noticeably less effort. Then we added a pair of 5" machined handles for a little extra leverage. We use a 1/2" acme thread for our press shaft, which means a more robust thread and less turning due to it's coarser thread. It also means we have a single diameter to work with and can size our drifts to this dimension, this means your bearings are more likely to go in straight. At the other end of the press is our new Quick Nut. This simple part allows you to slide the nut over the press shaft to the desired location and then click it into place and press away. No endless turning, no pinch hazard and no wasted time. Be aware, the quick nut does require a few uses to fully break in.
Kit includes a complete handled press head, 12" press shaft, quick nut and the following drifts;
PF30/1.125" headset
24mm bottom bracket drifts, for shimano compatible bottom brackets
22mm bottom bracket drift, single drift for non drive GXP bottom bracket
28.9mm bottom bracket drift, for SRAM DUB
6806 drift for BB30 bottom brackets
1.5" headset drift
centering cone
Additional drifts are on the bearing page and longer press shafts along with service parts are available on the parts page.
We always recommend installing bearings one at a time to ensure they go in straight and don't damage the bearings, components or the tools. Use the centering cone in the empty side of the hub/frame/linkage to keep the press concentric with the bore.

If you've been working on your bike for a while, you are well acquainted with the simple derailleur hanger and it's importance to your shift quality. The HAG has been a cornerstone tool in the Abbey catalog for a long time and it's accuracy is unparalleled in the industry. But what if you just want to check hanger alignment in a quick easy manner without removing your rear derailleur? Enter the 3D printed preHAG!
This simple tool is meant to quickly see if the derailleur cage is parallel to the cogs. It simply presses and flexes onto the largest cog and hangs down to give you a reference plane to judge if your bike is square with the world. This isn't meant to replace the accuracy of a HAG, just add an additional step that doesn't require any disassembly of the bike for those pre ride once overs.
