The all new Skelta wheelset is one of the most durable in Mountain Biking and is built using 6069 T6 heat-treated aluminium with an invisible seamless welded joint for added security. The Skelta rim features a shot-peened surface which provides increased corrosion and fatigue resistance, as well as a uniform matt finish.
After more than a year of heavy testing Halo developed the rim design to offer an even stronger wheel without excessive weight. Skelta’s enhanced 30 mm internal width, offers a confidence inspiring hooked rim profile for added control and tyre security and is compatible with all types of tyres, tubeless or not. Optimised the width for tyre sizes from 2.25” – 2.8”, making them compatible with lightweight XC tyres for ripping local trails, through to heavy casing DH tyres for the gnarliest conditions.
At the centre of the Skelta wheels is the iconic MT Hubs. All the Skelta wheels are built with our triple butted J-bend spokes so you can easily source replacements wherever you’re riding in the world.

The Skelta rim has been developed by riders, created the rim to offer as much durability and performance as possible, with a 30mm internal optimised for tyre support and confidence inspiring riding.
Using a invisible welded joint and shot peened 6069 T6 heat-treated Aluminium, it is made to last without compromising on weight or style. Added stainless eyelets for extra strength.

With a generous 33mm internal width Vortex wheels increase tyre volume and maximise the available grip on offer. Using an asymmetric design we have equalised spoke tensions and built a package that leaves descents in its wake, whilst cutting down weight where it isn’t needed for energy sapping climbs. To compensate for the differences in wall length and strength of an asymmetric design, the wall thicknesses have been proportioned to balance out impact forces equally. The Vortex offers offset wheel benefits, without compromise.
