Thomson Trail Carbon 750x31.8x15mm
Description
750mm wide and offers 15mm of rise together with a 5° backsweep and 8° upsweep. Built for strength with enough flex built in for all day comfort. Strong enough for All Mountain/Freeride, light enough for racing.
Bars are made with three different fiber types with different tensile strength and tensile modulus, including High Strength carbon fibers. This helps to allocate stiffness and flex where needed.
Bars are molded with an EPS mandrel inside to avoid wrinkles inside the layup during molding. Most other bars are molded over inflated nylon bladders.
All carbon fiber material is produced by Toray and uses tailor made nano Epoxy Resin for very high impact resistance. Toray is the main supplier of carbon fiber to Boeing and Airbus.
1.5K woven impact ends help prevent damage to uni directional fibers from shortening the bar or impact with the ground.

The Sparrow is a touring/townie bar. The 490mm version is more agile for squeezing through traffic than other townie/MTB bars. The 520mm is still narrow, but with a grip area that fits levers and shifters. The 560mm size is better for climbing and single-speeders. Try all the sizes on a single-speed or fixie. Can be used flipped to be used as a riser bar or down for a less upright position.

29ers have a naturally high front end. This is also true of 26ers with long travel forks. This may result in an undesirably upright ride position. The Odin gives you the extra sweep of a riser bars without the rise. Rotate slightly to add a bit of downward or upward sweep.

Our road bar features a mild wing shape on top, clamping area wide enough for aero bars, mid-compact reach and drop. This is the modern bar for the modern road bike. Our Road bar wing section is small enough not to restrict hand movement when riding on the top and allows bar angle adjustment with out “locking out” your wrists. Shaping on the bottom side of the wing allows housing to be taped out of the way without the use of narrow housing channels or internal routing, both of which shorten bar life. Certified to EN, tested to DIN+.
