The Midnight Special is an endurance road bike designed to provide comfort and speed on those all-day rides that extend well beyond fresh pavement. It excels on pot-holed, deteriorating pavement and the occasional long stretch of gravel. The Midnight Special’s 700c tyres eat up road chatter and absorb all the bumps in the road for a much more comfortable ride.

This Midnight Special is special. It’s the first bike Surly has ever combined with carbon fiber. Yes, there is a years-long paper trail of Surly touting the benefits of steel and steel alone. But just because steel is real doesn't mean everything else is fake. Carbon fiber has its own thing going for it, like an incredible strength-to-weight ratio and a knack for reducing road chatter — something you’ll thank us for halfway through your next century on bumpy backroads.
Carbon fiber helps make Midnight Special what it was always meant to be: part hustle and part muscle, a road bike that feels spirited on fresh pavement yet transitions smoothly into the seedy underbelly of road riding, where the asphalt crumbles away and potholes threaten to throw you off-balance.
- Smooth-sailing combination of Surly steel tubing with a carbon fiber fork and Teravail Circos Carbon rims.
- Shimano 105 R7100 2x12 groupset including hydro brakes.
- Modern road standards like flat-mount disc brakes, 12mm front and rear thru-axles, and a 44mm head tube
- Clearance for 650b x 50mm or 700c x 42mm tires without fenders (650b x 50mm or 700c x 38mm with fenders)$6,050.00 (RRP)POAPOAPOAPOAPOA -

When we find ourselves with a deep, primal urge to explore beyond the horizons of our beloved Flat Earth, few things satiate this need. Moonlander is one of them.
A portal into previously unridden terrain, Moonlander goes where other fat bikes don’t dare, where traction is a supposed myth and the only grams worth saving are in our Dugout Bag.
The newly developed, high-volume Molenda tyres were key. (Even the fattest in-market tires don’t cut it, and that includes our own line.) Therefore, we equipped this one with 24 x 6.2-inch tyres on 100mm rims. Such a large footprint allows us to ride at very low pressure, enabling the ability to float over a geographic smorgasbord of otherworldly terrain. Think rocky dunes, creeping shorelines, frozen beaches, sinuous stretches of snow and the like.
- Carefully crafted from our 4130 Chromoly steel, with a bottom bracket height that supplies plenty of clearance for bushwhacking and monster-trucking without losing out on stability
- Surly's first bike with a 9-speed Pinion gearbox, an innovative approach to spur gearing that improves reliability and go-anywhere performance with less maintenance
- The top tube maximizes standover height and foot dabs into soft substances, while keeping the headtube high so you can set up your rig in a comfortable, all-day-grind riding position
- Large volume Surly Molenda Tyres on 24 x 100mm Surly Clown Royal Rims inflated by new TPU tubes creates a footprint large enough to float over unrideable (until now) terrain
- Clearance for 24 x 6.2” tyres, as well as 26 x 5.1”, 27.5 x 4.8”, and 29 x 3”
- Comes with rack and fender mounts, as well as accessory mounts on both fork blades to enhance cargo capacity (compatible with Surly Rear Disc Wide Rack)
- Weight distribution across front and rear, with a longer back, allows for greater stability
- Features Tektro HD-M285 Hydraulic Disc Brake System
- Includes a dropper for easier on and off, especially on soft surfaces$6,950.00 (RRP)POA -

Nothing More is Needed. Nothing Less Will Do.
The challenge was thus: Build a serious steel bike and give it only the attributes that matter most. Make it quick and comfortable on pavement, as well as confident and compliant on degraded surfaces. What the Enginerds put forth is Preamble, a pavement and gravel utility worker that proves you don’t need to cut corners or clip coupons to make a more affordable steel bike. You just need to keep shit simple.
Preamble can run racks and fenders and carry a couple water bottles. Surly was raised on stealing basic cable, after all. Smooth and efficient on asphalt, Preamble’s double-butted main triangle provides a resplendent ride feel and withstands abuse from life’s inevitable potholes. Make it your own with flat bars, drop bars, a basket, or bags. On the road to steel euphoria, Preamble is the gateway drug.

Ever since the birth of the first Straggler it has been blazing trails and kicking up dust in the gravel world.
Over a decade later the newest Straggler emerges — a highly capable, no-nonsense gravel machine with a wider range of fitment and updated geometry to satisfy those who need a "do-it-all" kind of ride.
The new Straggler is for the rider who sees challenges, not obstacles. Someone who embraces the ethos of the Straggler and is excited to see it do more. Someone eager to push the boundaries of exploration with a "do-it-all" gravel bike that's equally comfortable on- and off-road.
It utilises the same dropouts and brake mounts as the current Midnight Special, along with thru-axles and flat-mount brakes for more performance-oriented riding where stability prevails.
Other updates include:
- Raised stack for more comfortable and visible riding
- Lowered seat tube for greater travel windows on dropper posts
- Sloped top tube to improve standover height for riders with shorter inseams
- Complete bikes featuring wider handlebars allow for a more natural and comfortable riding position
- Slightly lowered bottom brackets for more rider confidence
- Internal dropper post routing compatible
