Abbey BB Socket - Shimano Dual Sided
Description
While most other manufactures cast or forge their bottom bracket tools we machine ours. Forging is indeed stronger but it lacks the precision that machining gives you. Whenever you're dealing with anodized surfaces great care needs to be taken to keep those surfaces from getting marred, gouged and striped out. That can be nearly impossible with some spanner style tools and difficult with other loose fitting sockets.
The most unique feature about this tool is the inner nub, that nub in the center of the tool is the same size as the crank spindle. What this does is give you a second point of contact that keeps the tool from camming off of the part. when trying to remove stubborn cups.
This dual sided socket is designed to work with the new Shimano DA-9000/XTR-BB93 bottom bracket as well 6800 Ultegra and 5800 105 11spd groups (BBR-60).
Not compatible with earlier 10spd. Please see BB Common.

Drift can also can be used as a frame bottom bracket shell sizing guide!
Recommended for use with Wheels Mfg Universal BB Press, but can be used with PRESS-1 or PRESS-4 handles.

Tool for Securely Holding Splined BB Socket onto BBs
Holds socket tool to BB axle to eliminate slippage during removal and installation. New spring preload allows increased flexibility and rotation during use.
New design works with square taper and splined axles with M8, M12, or M15 internal spindle thread.
Made from heat-treated tool steel for the ultimate in strength and lasting performance.
Use with Pedro's Splined Bottom Bracket Socket. Compatible with Pedro's Pro Socket Handle.
If you have even battled with an over-tightened Shimano® and ISIS Drive® splined bottom bracket cup, you know why Pedro's created the BB Socket Holder. Though these types of bottom brackets proved themselves as the standard for many years and continue to be found on many bikes, the tendency for these shallow splines to slip during removal or installation has resulted in more than a few expletives, high frustration levels, and worst of all, injuries. The Pedro's BB Socket Holder II provides a simple, shop quality tool that solves this problem. The new design works on bottom brackets spindles with M8, M12, or M15 threads and adds spring preload for increased flexibility and rotation during use. Backed by Pedro's lifetime warranty.Stock Level:In StockStock Level:In Stock$24.00 (RRP)Add To Cart

Bearing drift designed for the SRAM DUB crank platform and use with the Abbey Bike Tools Modular bearing press.
SRAM recently launched a new crank platform called DUB to improve bearing durability and compatibility that modern frames have dictated. This 28.99mm spindle and it's press fit bottom bracket requires some special drifts to install correctly. We worked with the crew at SRAM to develop tools for this and came up with some simple and important tweaks from a standard bearing drift.
These Abbey Bike Tools drifts have a tapered boss that forces the small O ring into it's gland. A normal drift with a square boss can easily tear that fragile O ring that helps with bearing durability. So this basic modification keeps makes sure your bottom bracket sees the durability it was designed to have.
Comes as a pair of drifts.Stock Level:In StockStock Level:In Stock$63.00 (RRP)Add To Cart
