Universal Dropper Post Holder | Hands-Free Install & Service
Installing or servicing a dropper post means working on the lever end at the bar while trying not to kink a cable or hose at the post. The Universal Dropper Post Holder locks the post in place so you can see what’s happening at both ends, no third hand required.
What Makes It Different
- All-size compatibility: Works with 27.2, 30.9, 31.6, and 34.9 mm posts. Adapters included; 30.9/31.6 share the same insert for fast swaps.
- TPU strap system: Wide, grippy strap conforms to any post diameter.
- Bleed-through access: Rear service port lets you bleed hydraulic posts (e.g., RockShox) without removing the holder.
- Cable/hose friendly: Elevates and stabilizes the post so housing won’t kink while you work the lever at the bar.
- Bench-ready design: Compact footprint with replaceable adapters, built for daily use in busy workshops.
How to Use
1. Choose the adapter for your post size and drop it into the base.
2. Set the post in the cradle, align the cable/hose path, and secure with the TPU strap.
3. Route and tension the cable (or connect the hose) while operating the lever at the handlebar.
4. For hydraulic posts, position the bleed port over the rear service hole and perform the bleed.
5. When you're done, unstrap it and pull out the tool.

The lever setter is a unique tool that works in conjunction with our HAG to set brake and shifter levers at the same height from side to side. The tool temporarily replaces the headset top cap and allows you to thread a hanger alignment tool into the lever setter. Then you can use the HAG indicator to set levers the same from one side of the bar to the other. It's a great little fitting tool to eliminate variables in your bike fit. It's also great to balance the variations in bends that metal bars sometimes have from one side to the other. Once you're satisfied with your lever placement simply remove the tool and replace your headset top cap and go ride.
Recommendations:
It's advised to use a spacer on top of the stem to help align the lever setter with the steer tube. This will reduce the impact the quality of the cut on the steer tube has on the function of the tool. The supplied threaded stud can be replaced with a longer one if needed.

The PRO version is the heavy-duty, workshop-grade upgrade to our standard Rear Shock Dummy Tool. Built for mechanics and advanced users who frequently switch between eyelet and trunnion mounting, it’s stronger, stiffer, and optimized for repeated use.
Adjustment Range:
165 mm to 250 mm (and up to ~266 mm for legacy sizes). One full rotation = 10 mm of length change. Set your eye-to-eye and lock it in seconds.
