Our 6000 over axle adapter is used to press 6000 sealed bearings into hub shells or suspension components. An over axle adapter is necessary when the bearing slides over the axle before it is pressed into the hub shell or suspension component. In addition to the adapter, you often need spacers to clear the end of the axle and allow enough clearance for the press to fully push in the bearing.

HOW IT WORKS
The lower section of the Quick Drop Lite matches the inner diameter of a standard steerer tube with tight, workshop-ready tolerances.
Remove your top cap, insert the tool from above, and guide the fork downward. The Lite stays engaged inside the steerer, holding spacers, stem, and headset bearings aligned while the fork slides out.
The large integrated handle gives you direct control during both removal and reinstallation. You can guide the fork smoothly with one hand while keeping everything centered and stable.
During reinstall, simply guide the steerer back up while lightly holding the handle. The alignment stays straight, spacers remain stacked, and components slide back into place without juggling.$22.50 (RRP)Add To Cart

This is add on kit for the popular Abbey Bike Tools Modular bearing press adding even more versatility for the modern mechanic to deal with all the different shapes, sizes, and styles.
The kit includes drift all common bearing sizes with a bearing inner diameter (ID) of 15mm or larger. Including the over axle drifts required to install bearings in DT, Zipp and other modern captured bearing hubs. These drifts feature a 1/2" (12.7mm) ID and can be used with other presses if need be.
