Description
If stubborn spockets mean that the DJD driver cannot be adequately held then this Workshop tool may be required.
CNC Made from steel.
Use as follows:
- Insert the tool securely into a bench vice.
- Remove the driver body from the hub assembly.
- Remove the 3 Pawls and spring.
- Insert the Pawl area of the driver body into the Bench tool.
- Use required chainwhip to remove the now securely held DJD driver body.

Precision Socket Tool for HG® Standard Cassette and Disc Brake Lockrings
Alloy tool steel socket is fully machined to precise tolerances for an exacting professional-level fit and optimally heat treated for maximum strength and longevity.
Features a unique dual function design with 5mm pin and removable magnetic 12mm pin.
Features extra-long splines for superior engagement, quick-spin knurling, a 3/8" square drive for use with torque wrenches, a 24mm external drive for use with Pedro's Pro Socket Handle and pedal wrenches, and a 19.8mm internal diameter with 21.5mm depth.
Fits all Shimano®, Sram®, SunRace®, SunTour®, Chris King®, and other HG® standard cassette lockrings, disc brake lockrings, and other similar fittings with 12 splines and 23.5mm outside diameter.
The Pro Cassette Lockring Socket begins as a solid piece of alloy tool steel, then is fully machined to precise tolerances for an exacting fit you won't find anywhere else, and finally is optimally heat treated for maximum strength and longevity. With thru axles becoming more and more common the original Crombie tool was due for a makeover. We took the piloting pin and plus sized it to work with the 12mm thru axle fitment that is actually standardized. We make this version as a dual sided tool with two S Group ends, one for thru axle wheels and the other for regular hubs. The regular side has a hole deep enough to hide a skewer nut, it's really the best of both worlds.
The STANDARD version comes with a solid handle while the SUPER LIGHT has a hollow handle to save weight for the traveling mechanic. SL handles are plenty durable for lockrings that are torqued close to the 40 NM spec. If you commonly come across over torque lockrings get the standard handle.
Note, this version of the Crombie tool is not compatible with any Campagnolo wheels.
