These lower headset cup extenders allow you to adjust the geometry of your bike frame by increasing the effective fork length by 10mm. They allow you to do things like use a rigid fork on a suspension-corrected frame or use a fork with a shorter axle-to-crown height rather than what the frame was designed to use. They can also be used to increase the bottom bracket height and lower the headtube angle.

In other words, the bearing sits outside of the frame with these headsets.

- Any frame that uses an external cup headset with a 49mm lower head tube inner diameter

IS headsets are for frames with molded-in internal bearing cups.

Wolf Tooth Premium Headsets for Trek Knock Block are machined in the USA out of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum with superior sealing for protection against the elements. Available in a variety of colors to match the style of your bike. These upper headsets are for Trek frames with molded-in internal bearing cups.

NOTE: These headsets are to be used only with Trek Knock Block system

rek developed Knock Block as an integrated frame protection system to prevent self-inflicted scuffs, dents, or cracks from spinning handlebars. Knock Block consists of a special stem and stop chip on the frame. The stop chip limits the turning range of the custom keyed headset cover. The top of the headset cover has notches that lock into corresponding notches on the headset spacers which also correspond with notches in the stem for the strongest connection to the steer tube. These parts work together to prevent the crown of the fork and the handlebar controls from hitting the frame.

Compatibility

- Designed to work only with Trek Knock Block system
- The top cap on these headsets have unique raised features that key to Knock Block-compatible stems (made by Bontrager)
- If spacers are needed, you will need to use special Knock Block-compatible spacers with notch features

Lower headsets on bikes with Knock Block DO NOT have any unique features, as they are usually IS headsets that are available separately.

ZS headsets are for frames with internal bearing cups that are pressed into the frame.

This Ultralight and ultra-sleek stem cap integrates a 5mm, 10mm or 15mm headset spacer with your stem cap in finely machined piece. Why have extra steerer tube requiring spacers on top of your stem you ask? Well, many carbon steerers require that the steer tube extend above the stem. Also, riders may want the flexibility to move handlebar height up and down for different types of riding or for bike re-sale.
