Open Bore adapters, also known as drifts, are used to press cartridge bearings in to bottom bracket cups, hub shells, freehub bodies and suspension frame pivots. Each adapter has a smaller diameter that inserts in to the center of a bearing, and a larger diameter section that matches the outside diameter of the bearing. When used with a bearing press, the adapter presses against the races of the bearing, properly aligns the bearing and prevents damage as the bearing is pressed in.
Our 1526 open bore adapter is used to press 26x15 sealed bearings. The adapter is machined with one step at 15mm OD, which fits in to the center of the sealed bearing.

We made these monster chain whips at the request of some of our long time customers who were working the world cup track circuit. When a world class sprinter stands on the pedals of their track bike it taxes everything between the sole of their shoe and the tire. This means that tiny little track cog is threaded onto the hub as if He-Man put it on. We've lengthened these track whips out to a massive 17"/432mm, made a reinforced tang specifically for the 1/8" chain and put them together with stainless aircraft rivets. It adds up to a bomber whip worthy of the fastest men and women in the world.
Not for use on multi geared bikes. Single Speed 1/8" only.
