Description
The quintessential pack for carrying heavy loads over long distances.
Full Frame Packs fill the bike’s main triangle, providing a large space for bigger items — anything from cooking gear or a water bladder, to tent poles and heavy tools on longer expeditions and bikepacking trips. The resulting low centre of gravity ensures the pack has minimal effect on handling while offering a high volume of storage space.
The Full Frame Pack is completely waterproof, constructed from a lightweight fabric, custom milled to Apidura’s specifications and welded together at the seams to create a watertight seal. Zippers with protected closures ensure that kit stays dry, even in a sustained downpour. A battery lead/hydration hose port is handy for charging devices or staying hydrated on the road.

The bag’s contents are kept secure by a simple one-handed open and closure system, and a subtly tapered design prevents knee contact while pedaling out of the saddle.
The plus versions of the stem bag include exterior mesh pockets for catching empty wrappers as well as a mesh drainage hole to help keep the interior dry.
While the body fabric of the stem bag is waterproof, due to the stitching process used to assemble the product, there is the possibility for water to enter through the seams when exposed to sustained rain. The Expedition Downtube Pack is designed for storing items underneath the downtube on bikes without accessory mounts.
The downtube bag securely fastens to the downtube and similar diameter tubes to provide a versatile and compressible storage space for spares and long-distance essentials. It has enough capacity for a 710ml water bottle, allowing it to be used as a bottle holder bag for bikes with limited bottle storage space within the main triangle.
Downtube bags for bikepacking bring the benefits of accessory mounts, with the freedom to mount the bag wherever it is needed. The single motion velcro attachment and stability system means the pack mounts securely and easily to tubes of varying diameters. The waterproof, seam-welded construction ensures the contents remain clean and dry.
We do not recommend mounting the Expedition Downtube Pack on tubes with a circumference of less than 9.5cm, such as seat stays and forks.
