Wolf Tooth was first to market with Cyclocross 1x specific chainrings because we saw Cyclocross as the perfect use for our Drop-Stop® technology. Since their release, the uses for these rings has expanded beyond Cyclocross to commuting, gravel riding, mountain bikes with 5-arm crank power meters, and even full on-road applications with the giant 50t rings.
Compatibility
- These rings are for use with 110 BCD 5 arm cranksets.
- Drop-Stop B is for all 9,10,11 speed chains and SRAM Eagle, Road, Transmission Flattop 12speed chains.
- Stock 2x bolts will not work. You will need bolts like our 6mm bolts which are optimized for single ring mounting.
- Chainline - varies - these rings can be mounted in either the big or small ring position on a double cranksets. The most common mounting is in the big ring position because of chainstay clearance. The ring centerline is ~2mm from the ring's mounting face so they usually sit about 2mm closer to the frame than the stock big ring (depends on the stock ring) -

Compatibility
- These rings fit any SRAM crankset with a 94 BCD.
Note that we also offer SRAM Direct Mount chainrings for Standard and BB30 Short Spindle cranksets and some stainless steel versions.

Compatible with all 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains except Shimano 12-speed chains.

Wolf Tooth Direct Mount Chainrings for Shimano E-Bike Motors have a 55mm chainline and are compatible with all Boost and Super Boost bikes that use the Shimano EP8, E8000, and E7000 e-bike motor splines.
- The Drop-Stop B tooth profile is compatible with almost all 9-, 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains – the only exception is Shimano Hyperglide+.
- The Drop-Stop ST tooth profile is only compatible with Shimano Hyperglide+ chains.
- Direct Mount Chainrings for Shimano E-Bike Motors are machined with 7075-T6 aluminum at Wolf Tooth in Minnesota, USA. -

- NOT compatible with Ultegra R8100, 105 R7100, and any other Shimano cranks

- Wolf Tooth’s patented Drop-Stop wide/narrow tooth profile provides the ultimate chain retention and efficiency
- Designed for 1x drivetrains. They are not compatible with 2x drivetrains
- 4 bolts are included. Torque to 5 Nm.
Recommendations
If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, we recommend a chain guide or chain keeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you may experience chain drops and/or chain suck.
