Enter, our patented GripLock™ bearing cap. The GripLock™ preloads the headset independently of clamping onto the steerer, so it retains preload far better than the competition and is impervious to the ill effects of load spikes from large hits and heavy braking. This means smoother steering, no more creaking, and a longer lasting headset.
Our GripLock™ design also takes the guesswork out of preloading a headset, because the bearing preload force is independent of the clamping force. Our headsets can be preloaded to a torque spec.

Description
The Wolf Tooth Compression Plug provides an anchor point to set the headset preload on road, MTB, or gravel bikes with carbon forks—essentially securing everything on the steerer tube. A stem cap with a 5mm integrated spacer is included, which is important since many fork manufacturers require the steerer tube to extend above the top of the stem. It is available in eight color options to add some style to your bike.
Compatibility
- Forks with 1 1/8" steerer tubes.
- Designed for carbon steerer tubes but works with metal steerer tubes with ID from 23.5mm to 24.5mm.
- Never use a star nut on forks with carbon steerers. -
Description
The Chris King headset stem cap is a precision machined and timelessly styled crown jewel. Bold versions will be laser marked after anodizing creating a silver laser mark, Sotto Voce are laser marked before anodizing so the mark is more subtle as the entire cap will be anodized
