As with all aluminum seatposts, it’s a good idea to periodically pull the post out of the frame, clean it, apply a thick coat of grease inside the seat-tube of the frame, and re-install. This keeps your post/frame from corroding and seizing, which could make it very difficult to remove years down the road. -
Description
Paul set out to design the most refined, reliable, and easy-to-adjust zero-offset seatpost on the planet, then CNC machined them to the absolute highest tolerances inhouse in sunny Chico, California.
The first order of business was to space the bolts far enough away from the post that you can easily adjust them with a multi-tool on the side of the trail, or a torque wrench in the shop. With the use of two bolts, seatpost rail slippage is completely eliminated, and these two bolt-heads sit on spherical stainless-steel washers that allow them to pivot and self-align to the cradle. The top-clamp features two low-friction brass trunnions for super smooth and effortless tilt adjustment without binding.

What is a Suspension Seatpost?
A suspension seatpost is a specially designed bicycle seatpost featuring shock absorbing construction that helps smooth out bumps in the terrain and reduce the impact to the rider. They are best suited for gravel biking and bikepacking applications but are also used on road bikes to help riders stay in the saddle through rough course areas. Suspension seatposts are often used on hybrid, city and e-bikes as well, especially in urban environments with shifting concrete conditions.
The Shockstop suspension seatposts feature a proprietary parallelogram design, which allows for the suspension to remain active even when you're seated and pedaling. This means that you can benefit from the suspension's smoothing effect even when you're putting down power, unlike some suspension seatposts that become rigid when you're pedaling.
