    Our high performance R45 Disc hubs are built to meet the requirements of the world’s most demanding road and cyclocross riders with the long-term performance, durability, and serviceability that you expect from Chris King components. We equip our R45 Discs with the same race proven 45 point RingDrive engagement system and exceedingly smooth in-house made bearings.

    These hubs feature an exquisitely machined 6-bolt disc mount that melds current disc mount specifications with elegant design for a beautiful finish and seamless integration. The front hub retains traditional 100mm spacing while the rear hub is designed around 135mm spacing, which has been established as the industry standard for disc compatible road and cyclocross bicycles

    R45D hubs combine our low-drag 45-tooth RingDrive™ system, a lightweight hub body, and our legendary made-in-house bearings. The result is the increased power and modulation of disc brakes, the fast, smooth rolling speed of our bearings, and the superior responsiveness of our RingDrive™ engagement system when you put the power down.

    Our bearings, available in steel and ceramic, have heat-treated, surgical grade steel races that are machined simultaneously, with tools of equal wear to ensure perfectly matched inner and outer races. The quality and speed of our bearings is what sets us apart from the competition and they are what you will feel and notice on every single ride. As Chris King bearing tracks burnish they get faster with age and all our hubs and bearings are fully serviceable for years upon years of demanding use.
